How to Request a Refund
Step-by-Step Process
Requesting a refund is simple:

- Include details: Your account email and reason for refund (optional but helpful)
- Confirmation: We'll respond within 24 hours confirming your refund
- Processing: Refund processed within 5-7 business days
Note: Refunds are processed by Paddle, our payment provider. Depending on your bank, it may take an additional 3-5 business days for the funds to appear in your account.
After 7 Days
Subscription Renewals
After the initial 7-day period, refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis:
- Technical issues: If our service is down or not functioning properly, we'll refund affected periods
- Billing errors: Any incorrect charges will be refunded immediately
- Other cases: Contact us at emailengine2026@gmail.com and we'll work something out
Pro-Rated Refunds
We generally do not offer pro-rated refunds for partial months. However, if you experience:
- Extended service outages (24+ hours)
- Data loss due to our error
- Feature removal that significantly impacts your usage

Non-Refundable Items
The following are not eligible for refunds:
- Free trial: No payment was made, so no refund applies
- Overage charges: Emails sent beyond your plan limit
- Add-on services: One-time purchases or custom services (if applicable)
- Banned accounts: Accounts terminated for Terms of Service violations
Cancellation vs. Refund
Canceling Your Subscription
Cancellation is different from a refund:
- Cancellation: Stops future billing but does not refund current period
- Refund: Returns payment for the current billing period
How to Cancel
You can cancel your subscription anytime from your account settings:
- Log in to your account
- Go to Profile Settings
- Click "Cancel Subscription"
- Confirm cancellation
Your access continues until the end of your current billing period. No refund is issued unless you're within the 7-day money-back guarantee window.

Bank Processing: The final step depends on your bank. Some banks process refunds faster than others. If you don't see the refund after 14 days, contact your bank.

Service Outages
If NeuroMail experiences significant downtime (24+ hours), we will:
- Automatically extend your subscription by the affected period
- Offer a refund if you prefer instead of an extension
- Notify all affected users via email
Data Loss
In the unlikely event of data loss due to our error:
- Full refund of current billing period
- Free service extension
- Assistance with data recovery (if possible)
Duplicate Charges
If you're accidentally charged twice:
- Immediate refund of the duplicate charge
- No waiting period
- Apology and explanation of what happened
Chargebacks
We strongly discourage chargebacks. Here's why:
- Slower process: Chargebacks can take 30-60 days vs. 5-7 days for a direct refund
- Account suspension: Chargebacks automatically suspend your account
- Added complexity: We still need to investigate, delaying resolution

Important: Initiating a chargeback without contacting us first may result in permanent account suspension and inability to use NeuroMail in the future.
Currency & Exchange Rates
All refunds are processed in the currency you were charged:
- If you paid in USD, you receive USD
- If currency conversion occurred during payment, the refund follows the same conversion
- Exchange rates may differ slightly between charge and refund dates
- Any exchange rate differences are determined by Paddle and your bank, not NeuroMail
